Traditional design, in conjunction with a modern and ecological construction, was the wish of the young builders for the log house Regensburg.
The building was planned by Chiemgauer Holzhaus together with the builders and integrated into a classic courtyard. An old and dilapidated warehouse of the farm, was demolished for it. In the planning of the building, therefore, great attention was paid to the preservation of the farmhouse and farm character. On the ground floor, the Chiemgau natural wall system with plaster facade, in the attic of the Chiemgauer double block was implemented. The lovingly chosen details, such as the lavishly carved balcony railing, or the carefully selected and coordinated rustic furniture, the rural charm is skillfully staged. The spacious and open terrain that surrounds the house, makes the farm character even more lively.
The house was built in 2016, with the owner actively involved in the construction process through various own contributions. The total of 220 m² living space, are complemented by a terrace of almost 57 m², which invites you to enjoy the beautiful view.

On the ground floor, the builders opted for the natural wall system. Only in the attic was it made of concrete with a classic double block. In the course of assembly, a twelve centimetre thick unlaminated spruce log is pre-compressed in the wall applying several tons of force via a tensioning device, to in this way reduce setting of the timber to a minimum. Twelve centimetre wood fiberboard panels are fitted on the inside, with ventilation, serving as the services cavity. The buildings biological wall construction is finished on the inside with 40 mm thick joined log planks. All the beams are joined using dovetail joints.
